You guys know how sometimes you humongous, very unfortunate burst of inspiration in the middle of the night, but because you've got school in the morning you can't just get up and get to drawing? On top of that, you know that once you fall asleep your oh-so-engaging idea will die a horrible death in the gruesome vortex of unconsciousness?

Yup, those were the circumstances under which I got the idea for "Vehicle with a Wingspan", and that's why my sketch looks like this:

I rose up, put the lights on, drew that, put out the lights and went back to bed. It's such a simple idea and equally simple composition, I would had forgotten it the moment I closed my eyes. And I forget everything, all the time. I went to the kitchen just now to get some water to drink, and instead grabbed a box of raisins. Now I have to go back, because raisins don't exactly make people less thirsty. *Goes to kitchen*

*Comes back with a piece of cheese* So where was I? Oh yeah, here's a sketch that makes a little bit more sense than the initial one:

I kind of got stuck at this point for, um, a month? Two? I wanted to keep the backround low on detail and with a rough and slightly "unfinished" look, so I figured "hey, it'll take me like an hour to finish this. Maybe I'll take a break now and finish something more important instead, then get back to this one tomorrow". And that's what I kept repeating to myself every time I saw the unfinished thumbnail glaring at me from its folder, making me more and more pissed off at both it and myself for never finishing it. Oh, there's so many of my paintings that ended up in the garbage bin that way, they never learn not to glare at me.

At least this one made it to the finish line one rainy day. It's one of the lucky ones, a real survivor.

Oh yeah, I found a couple of WIP-pictures of "Team Sheep" that I had completely forgotten about. Enjoy:

Prrrfh, look at that wolf on the left, so skillfully and delicately drawn. x3
