Bla bla and such, February 2012, Week1: so, I finally decided to list "a Redtail's Dream" on TopWebComics, as several people have told me to do in the last couple of months. And hey, I actually have a reason for postponing doing that, other than general lazyness or apathy. May not be a good reason, but basically I wanted to make sure I would be able to really really commit to this project all the way to the end before I start listing it anywhere. We all know the numerous webcomics that run for ~50 pages tops, and then just die because the artist simply lost interest. But now I'm far past that point (ehehee, I've done over a hundred pages by now, but you'll have to wait to see them, teehee. 8B) and I'm actually even more determined to continue drawing than when I started.

So, if you feel like casting a vote for aRTD, simply follow the link in the image to the left, I think TopWebComics allows for one vote per day and person, if my memory is being my friend today. I'll add a new voting incentive each week as a little reward, probably sketches, worki in progress pictures and other fun little things related to the comic. Nothing that'll take time off actually drawing the comic, rather the things that appear out of nowhere as a side product. This week's image is a WIP pic of a little ink painting I'm working on. And obviously I greatly appreciate any support you guys can give me, and for the days when there's not a new incentive you get imaginary icecream instead. There's cookies too for those who are lactose intolerant.

New here and have no idea where "here" is?  Simpy put, this the online portfolio of Minna Sundberg, AKA me. That's not exactly "portfolio" as in "only the most shining gems of my artistic production allowed", rather "things I've spent enough time working on that not publishing them feels like a vaste". The galley also features older works of mine from a few years back, because I know it's enjoyable to see crappy, old artworks from people and comparing them to the newer stuff. At least I enjoy doing that, a lot. (Not with my own art though, doing that makes me go like this: σ_σ, and then I'm deeply ashamed. )

And then there's the webcomic (or online graphic novel, if one prefers the fancier term) titled "a Redtails' Dream" which is in many ways my main project right now, and therefore also the most extensive part of this site. It's updated twice a week, and as I plan on finishing the whole thing before I graduate there's a pretty tight schedchule for me to keep here.

The purpose of the comic is simple and definite: to help me develop as an artist in a way that merely doing illustrations just won't do, and give me confidence in my skills. It is intended solely as a practice comic for me (one that I take very seriously, mind you) meaning not a single page will be redrawn, no matter how much I want to both rewrite and redraw chapter one. And two. Aaand probably chapter three too, once I'm done with it. Sheesh...

The journal is there for stuff that doesn't deserve to be posted in the gallery, yet interesting enough to be posted somewhere. Sketches, work in progress-screenshots, school projects and other generic things of the sort. The journal isn't updated on a scedchule of any kind, instead there'll be a new entry once I've accumulated enough material to make a decently sized entry. That usually means one or two updates a month.

Last, and least: the tutorials section. Now and then I get an itching for some tutorial-making, ergo tutorials are made. But that's not a very frequent happening, and that section of the site isn't really a piority right now. But it's there.

In conclusion: enjoy your stay, my friend. Noteworthy for those who are wondering: my DeviantArt nick is ShadowUmbre, and that is pretty much the only other online gallery-area thingie where I post my works. You know what, scratch the "pretty much"; it is the only other online gallery-area thingie for me. For now, at least. But I don't really mind my works being posted elsewhere as long as I'm being credited as the artist and and a link back is provided, so if you see anything of mine floating around the net on random places, it's probably not an art theft or anything. For information on this, view the art usage page.
