Aaah, isn't that sweet? An yes, I realized half way through the picture that sparrows don't even move to the south. But I guess an injured one wouldn't really survive the winter, so it's do and live or don't and die for this little fella here. There was also supposed to be some snow falling and the colors way colder, but I forgooot. Eh, doesn't matter, these bunnies aren't dumb enough to wait until the first snow arrives to move south, they plan ahead.

Dark red ink, that's what you get when you mix black and red ink. It's like magic, ooh!

I was pretty sure I was going tu rin the whole picture once it was time for the background:

If I accidentally went too dark, there would be no turning back and there would be no depth to even speak of in the picture. Using watercolors without a strict lineart to guide me is freaking terrifying, I just don't understand how the pros do it. They are not human! So, I picked the easiest thing I could think of: a perfectly straight, blue waterfall!

Working with dark red ink instead of your typical, boring black kind turned out to be quite envigorating, feels like it's already well on its path to be colored once the lineart is done. No more intimidating black and white linearts for me!
